I owned a house in Carlsbad for over 30 years with a magnificent view of the ocean from every room and a very open and large backyard. When I was ready to sell it, I thought I found a good agent.I was so wrong.
I learned a very big lesson through that experience and I was not ever going to allow myself to settle for anything less than an experienced, articulate, intelligent, knowledgable “Rock Star!” agent the next time I needed one.
Enter Melissa Huk from Keller Williams.
A powerhouse of demographic knowledge. An agent who simplifies the real estate lingo so you understand it, which I soooo appreciated. She exuded confidence and pride in her job and it was so refreshing to see.
She jumped right in and sold my house for over what I was asking and she did it fast. Yes! I was doin’ the happy dance!
But then comes the agonizing journey of finding another house when there just wasnt enough out there on the market that matched what I was really looking for. That freaked me out. Well…that didnt last long. Melissa re-directed me, assured me, and babied me through my anxiety and told me “I promise you your house is out there waiting for you. We will find it.”
This was my third and last house I was ever going to buy and I wanted it to be “The One.” Melissa knew it. I literally put it all in her lap.
She knew what I wanted. She knew what I liked and what I didnt like and she zeroed in on “The One.”
I saw Melissa work with this seller’s agent with such a focused and determined attitude. She let me know firstly, what she was going to do and how she could reasonably deal with this seller’s agent to make this purchase fair for both parties. She always kept me informed through each step and before she made decisions, she consulted me first.
Bottom line, Melissa performed her Queen Bee magic and I bought the house for 10’s of thousands less than asking price. It was an incredible feat she pulled off and I am forever grateful to her and Keller Williams for being amazing and present when I needed it most. Thank you, Melissa. For everything
